After more than a year on PC, Keep Driving finally arrives on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch today, September 28, 2026. The console launch brings every update shipped since the PC release, and the developer is simultaneously unlocking Steam Workshop modding support for PC players.
Keep Driving puts you behind the wheel of your first car on an open road trip to a music festival, set in the aesthetic of the early 2000s. The game's world is procedurally generated in pixel art and built around replayability: each trip takes one to four hours, forks across multiple paths, and ends in one of several different conclusions depending on the decisions you make along the way.
The game made a quiet but sustained impact on PC, earning consistently strong reviews and selling over 300,000 copies — numbers that put it among the most commercially successful indie debuts of 2025. That foundation is exactly why a console port makes sense: the fanbase was already there, and the design fits a couch.
The console versions are feature-complete with the current PC build, so returning players on PC and newcomers on console are starting from the same place. The addition of Steam Workshop support means PC mod support arrives simultaneously — an unusual move that signals a deliberate long-term investment in the community rather than an afterthought.
Keep Driving isn't trying to be the biggest game of the year. It's a short, replayable story about going somewhere, meeting strangers, and not always making it cleanly to the destination. For a console port landing today, that's a better pitch than most.
Keep Driving is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
