How to stop mealy bugs infestation on succulent plants

Mealy bugs are little white parasites that will tuck temselves in the crannies of your succulents and will produce a white wool-looking substance.

  1. The first thing to do is to isolate all your affected plants (because they will infect your other plants very soon !)
  2. The next thing to do is to rince all your affected plants in water (under a powerful enough stream) to remove most of the mealy bugs quickly
  3. Then, you will need to spray 70% isopropyl alcohol on the bugs. It can easily be found in most pharmacies (ethyl alcohol also worked in my case, which may be found in rubbing alcohol)

The alcohol will kill the bugs and quickly evaporate whithout hurting your plants. Several treatments may be needed. Check your plants every 2 - 3 days until no white parasites are found !
